Symbolizing madonna and child / our lady of tenderness. Materials include silver-plated metal relief over wood backing, polychrome enamel on faces, rhinestone/crystal veil accents. Larger rectangular plaque compared to IMG_2625, rounded corners, dark mahogany border. Silver-tone bas-relief of Virgin Mary cradling sleeping infant Jesus cheek-to-cheek. Mary gazes forward, child’s eyes closed (sleeping). Both faces rendered in warm polychrome flesh tones — higher detail than IMG_2625. Mary’s veil decorated with small embossed star/flower motifs AND what appear to be clear crystal/rhinestone insets. Dual gold halos fill upper area. Polished silver robes and drapery. Maker’s mark lower center. Significantly larger than IMG_2625 (est. 20–28 cm).
