Description
This beautifully crafted figurine / statue / sculptural group is handcrafted in the Holy Land from sustainably harvested, authentic Bethlehem Olivewood. Using only non-productive olive trees from the Holy Land, this handmade piece reveals the stunning natural grain patterns of olive wood, free of any additives or sealants.
Two-figure olive wood sculptural group on natural-edge slab base — two robed figures facing each other across a small vessel/cup (likely Jesus washing feet of a disciple / Foot Washing scene), abstract-modern carving style. Symbolizing foot washing / servanthood of christ (john 13) — or possibly annunciation/visitation; two figures in contemplative exchange. Materials include olive wood — two-tone (darker grain base slab, lighter carved figures); natural finish. Two abstract-modern style robed figures on a wide natural-edge olive wood slab base (dark grain, live-edge perimeter). Left figure: seated/kneeling on a raised block, robes with horizontal stripe carving texture, face forward — slightly larger and more elevated (suggesting Jesus). Right figure: kneeling/seated lower, robes smooth lighter wood, head bowed in humility. Between them: a small turned wooden vessel or cup (mortar-shaped) on a round disc base. Figures are semi-abstract with simplified facial features. Contrast between dark-grained base and lighter figure wood is visually striking. Estimated width of base: 20–25 cm; figure height ~10–12 cm.
